March 15, 2020 the start of the Covid pandemic our founder Christie Costello was woke up in the middle of the night by a vision she was given from God. She said she felt she was being called to feed the children in her community for free because the schools were closing and she knew so many children depend on the school for their meals. So thats exactly what she did! That morning she started her free lunch program at their place of business Costellos Butcher and deli in Pensacola Florida. She feeds every child a free sack lunch that comes through the doors of Costellos regardless if they are a child in need or not. The goal is to make sure all children feel special and loved and never experience the feeling of hunger. The goal was no child would know if they are a child in need or not just that they are all loved and they always get a free goodie bag of food when they come to Costellos. Fast forward to date the KTF has given over 128,000 free lunches to the children in the community and surrounding areas. The need and impact the KTF has had in the locally area has grown greatly and the KTF has out grown the space available within Costellos so they have set out to build the KTF its own hub while maintaining the free lunch program at Costellos.
